Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. In this policy, we also call cookies other equivalent ways of storing data in your browser, such as its local storage or session storage.

This website (os.utilia.ai/es and os.utilia.ai/en) belongs to UTILIA SERVICIOS IA S. COOP. CAN. It shares its domain with the UTILIA OS app and its documentation (os.utilia.ai/docs), which have their own Cookie Policy (in Spanish). The cookies the app sets on the domain, such as utilia_session_id, are explained there. This website does not use them; if you download your appointment's calendar file with the Apple Calendar button, the app serves it and that download may set utilia_session_id.

2. Essential cookies

These are required for the website to work or to remember what you choose yourself. They do not need your consent and are not shared with anyone.

Stores your analytics choice: accepted or rejected. The UTILIA OS documentation, which is on the same domain, reads it too: whatever you decide here also applies to measuring your visits there, unless you said no there or in the app (we explain this in section 3), which is why it does not ask you twice. The documentation only ever writes a "no" to it, the one you give there or in the UTILIA OS app; never a "yes".

cookie_consent_version

Goes with the previous one: stores the date of the cookie policy you made your choice under. If it is missing or older than this policy, we ask you again and, in the meantime, we do not measure.

Store your advertising choice (section 4), separately from your analytics choice, with the date of this policy and the platforms we asked you about. utilia_signed_in

Set by the UTILIA OS app when you log in and removed when you log out. It holds no data about you and cannot be used to log in: this website only checks whether it is there, to show you “Go to the app” instead of “Log in” and the trial.

Type: cookie. Duration: as long as your session in the app. Set by: UTILIA. Stored on the os.utilia.ai domain.

sales-call-confirmed: followed by the request number

Remembers the result of confirming your video call from the email link, so reloading the page does not use the single-use code twice.

Type: browser session storage. Duration: until you close the tab. Set by: UTILIA.

3. Analytics cookies: Google Analytics

With your consent, we measure visits to this website and to the UTILIA OS documentation with Google Analytics 4, as explained at the end of this section. On this website, we do it to learn how many people visit us, where they come from (including the campaign parameters in links), which pages they read, how far they scroll and what they click: joining the waitlist and the buttons that lead to it (while it was open, until October 15, 2026) or to signing up for UTILIA OS, with the plan, billing option and section they are clicked from; the pricing page, switching between yearly and monthly billing, the result of “Do the math” (how many people and which plan); the documentation link; requesting the time-tracking guide; opening, requesting and confirming a video call; and the buttons to message us on WhatsApp. We do not send your email or phone number to Google.

_ga

Tells browsers apart with a random identifier, which does not contain your name or email, to count visits and visitors.

Type: cookie. Duration: 2 years from your last measured visit, because Google Analytics renews it on every visit. Set by: Google Ireland Limited, through Google Analytics. Stored on the utilia.ai domain.

_ga_6GGNMNKWTN

Keeps the state of the current visit: the session identifier and number, and the time of your last activity.

Type: cookie. Duration: 2 years from your last measured visit. Set by: Google Ireland Limited, through Google Analytics. Stored on the utilia.ai domain.

utilia_first_touch

Remembers how you first arrived: the campaign parameters in the link (the ones starting with utm_), the domain of the website you came from and the first page you saw. If you sign up for UTILIA OS from this website, we pass it on to the sign-up so we know which channels bring us customers; if you request the time-tracking guide, we pass on its campaign parameters. It contains no name, email or identifier. It is not sent to Google or to any advertising platform.

Type: browser local storage. Duration: 90 days; deleted as soon as you withdraw your consent. Set by: UTILIA. Without consent it is not stored: the same data only lives in the page while you browse the website.

  • Nothing from Google without your consent. Until you accept analytics or advertising, the website does not download any Google code or send anything to Google: no cookies, no notices, no other request. If you reject, it stays that way. If you only accept advertising, that same code is downloaded, but only for Google Ads (section 4): Google Analytics is not set up and receives nothing.
  • What we send when you accept. The address of each page without its query string, except campaign parameters (those starting with utm_), so the codes in the links you use to confirm or manage your video call do not travel in it; its title; and the page you came from, also without its query string and, if it is on another website, only its domain. We do not send your email or phone number to Google.
  • No advertising from Google Analytics. Ad storage, use of data for advertising and ad personalization are denied unless you also accept advertising (section 4), which is a separate choice. Even then, Google signals, which link the visit to Google accounts, and ad personalization stay turned off in Google Analytics.
  • What Google Analytics collects on its own. Technical data about the visit: device type, browser and operating system, language, screen resolution and approximate location derived from the IP address and, depending on the property settings, interactions such as scrolling or the links to other websites you click. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
  • The same measurement in the documentation. The UTILIA OS documentation (os.utilia.ai/docs) uses this same Google Analytics property and the same cookies, always with consent, and what you decide on this website also applies there. If you accept here, we also measure your visits to the documentation, unless you said no there or in the UTILIA OS app. If you reject here, we do not measure them there either. A "no" in either place stops measurement in both: a "no" given in the documentation or in the UTILIA OS app also applies to this website, as soon as you visit the documentation in this browser. A "yes" given there, however, does not apply to this website: we ask you separately here. If you said no there and want us to measure here, first change it in "Preferencias de cookies" (cookie preferences) in the documentation and then accept here, in section 6: a "yes" given only here does not change that "no", and as soon as you open the documentation again, this website will stop measuring again.

4. Advertising cookies: Meta, LinkedIn and Google Ads

With your advertising consent, which is separate from your analytics consent, we use the measurement tools of the platforms where we advertise UTILIA OS: the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram), the LinkedIn Insight Tag and the Google Ads tag. We use them to learn which ads bring us visits and customers, and which of those lead to a video call request, a guide request or a UTILIA OS sign-up, so those platforms show our ads to the people most likely to be interested, and to show you UTILIA OS ads on them if you have already visited us.

None is currently active: none of this is loaded. If we turn one on, we will ask you first.

_fbp and _fbc (Meta)

_fbp tells your browser apart with a random identifier so Meta knows which visits and actions on this website come from its ads; _fbc stores the click identifier when you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram ad.

Type: cookie. Duration: 90 days, which Meta renews on every measured visit. Set by: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Stored on the utilia.ai domain.

li_fat_id, li_giant, oribili_user_guid and ln_or (LinkedIn)

li_fat_id stores an indirect LinkedIn member identifier when you arrive from one of its ads, and li_giant one for groups of members, to measure conversions; oribili_user_guid counts unique visitors and ln_or checks whether that measurement can run on this website.

Type: cookie. Duration: li_fat_id, 30 days; li_giant, 7 days; oribili_user_guid, 1 year; ln_or, 1 day. Set by: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company. Stored on the utilia.ai domain.

_gcl_au and _gcl_aw (Google Ads)

_gcl_au tells your browser apart with a random identifier to measure conversions from Google ads; _gcl_aw stores the click identifier when you arrive from a Google ad.

Type: cookie. Duration: 90 days. Set by: Google Ireland Limited, through Google Ads. Stored on the utilia.ai domain.

utilia_ad_click

If you arrive from an ad, it stores the click identifier the platform adds to the link: gclid, gbraid or wbraid (Google Ads), fbclid (Meta) or li_fat_id (LinkedIn). If you then sign up for UTILIA OS from this website, we pass it to the sign-up along with the rest of how you arrived (explained in the Privacy Policy), to learn which ad brought us each customer. It does not contain your name, email or phone number, and this website does not send it to any platform.

Type: browser local storage. Duration: 90 days from the click; arriving from another ad replaces it, and it is deleted as soon as you withdraw your advertising consent. Set by: UTILIA. Without your advertising consent we neither read nor store it.

The platforms' cookies on their own domains

When their tools load, each platform may read and set its own cookies on its domain to recognize your browser and, if you are signed in with them, link the visit to your account: Meta, on facebook.com (for example, fr, 90 days); LinkedIn, on linkedin.com (for example, bcookie, 1 year, lidc, 24 hours, UserMatchHistory and AnalyticsSyncHistory, 30 days, and li_sugr, 90 days); Google, on doubleclick.net and google.com (for example, IDE, 13 months). Each platform controls them and explains them in its policies, linked in section 5.

  • Nothing without your advertising consent. Until you give it, the website does not download any Meta, LinkedIn or Google Ads code or send them anything. Accepting analytics does not turn it on: they are two separate choices.
  • What we send them. Each page you view (Meta and LinkedIn receive its full address and that of the page you came from; Google Ads, the address without the query string except campaign parameters and the Google click identifier) and three moments: when you send the request for the 15-minute video call or for us to call you, with the section of the website you request it from and which of the two it is; when you request the time-tracking guide, with the section you request it from; and when you click a button that leads to signing up for UTILIA OS, with the plan and billing option. Google Ads receives nothing measured by analytics (section 3). We do not send them your email, name or phone number. With their cookies, each platform may link that data to your account if you have one.
  • Never on your appointment pages. None of these tools load on the pages you use to confirm or manage your video call, and the page you go to from them only knows you come from this website, without your appointment's code.
  • Who decides what. For collecting this data on this website and sending it to each platform, UTILIA and that platform are joint controllers. What each platform then does with it is its own decision, under its privacy policy.
  • If you withdraw your consent, we stop sending right away and delete from your browser the click identifier we keep (utilia_ad_click) and the cookies these platforms keep on our domain (the ones in the cards above). We cannot delete the ones each platform sets on its own domain: you can do it from your browser settings or from each platform's ad preferences.

5. Providers and international transfers

The Google Analytics and Google Ads provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4 (Ireland). You can see how it handles data in its privacy policy.

Google Ireland Limited may transfer data to Google LLC, in the United States. The transfer relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC is certified, recognized by European Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795 of July 10, 2023.

The Meta pixel provider is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5 (Ireland), which may transfer data to Meta Platforms, Inc., in the United States. Its privacy policy explains how it handles it.

The Insight Tag provider is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2 (Ireland), which may transfer data to LinkedIn Corporation, in the United States. Its privacy policy explains how it handles it.

Those transfers to the United States rely on the same EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to which the receiving companies are certified.

6. How to accept, reject or withdraw your consent

The first time you visit, we ask you with the cookie notice, and we ask again if this policy changes in a way that requires it. What you decide here also applies to the UTILIA OS documentation, unless you said no there or in the app. You can change your mind at any time, right here, as easily as you decided, except in that case: if you said no in the documentation or in the UTILIA OS app, to accept again here you also need to change it there, as we explain in section 3. If you reject analytics, measurement stops right away, we do not measure your visits to the documentation either, and we delete _ga and _ga_6GGNMNKWTN from your browser. And if they are left over from before without you accepting analytics under this policy, we delete them as soon as you visit.

You have not made an analytics choice under this version of the policy yet.

Advertising (section 4) is a separate choice and only applies to this website: the UTILIA OS documentation neither reads nor changes it. If you reject it, we stop sending to those platforms right away and delete their cookies from our domain.

In "Preferencias de cookies" (cookie preferences), at the bottom of any page of the UTILIA OS documentation, you can also reject it: a "no" given in the documentation or in the UTILIA OS app also applies to this website; a "yes" given there does not: we ask you separately here. And you can delete this site's cookies and data from your browser settings; if you do, we will ask you again.
